Acertijo: El centurión y el guardia
Una mañana, un soldado, que había estado previamente de guardia a la noche, fue hasta el centurión y le dijo que durante la noche vió en un sueño cómo los bárbaros atacaban el fuerte desde el norte. El centurión no creyó demasiado en este sueño, pero sin embargo tomó los recaudos necesarios para defender la zona norte del fuerte. La noche siguiente los bárbaros atacaron el fuerte, pero gracias a las medidas que había tomado el centurión el ataque fue rechazado. Luego de la batalla, el centurión agradeció al soldado por la advertencia y luego ordenó su inmediata detención ¿Porqué?

La noche que estaba de guardia el soldado tuvo un sueño, por lo tanto estaba dormido, y durante la guardia los soldados no tienen permitido dormirse.
